  • 1979 Minister of Transport Norman Fowler paid the SVR an official visit, honouring his pledge in Parliament to visit a private enterprise railway during the year.[1]
  • 1994 The Warwickshire Industrial Locomotive Trust became a charity.
  • 2000 The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association visited the SVR. The party, including 23 dogs, made a return trip on the line.[2]
  • 2016 The Friends of Eardington Station reported that sufficient funds had been raised to purchase the required replacement GWR bricks to replace the missing part of Eardington platform.[3]
