- 1891 Construction of Bridgnorth Castle Hill Railway began.[1]
- 1962 By the 1960s, many local passenger services were worked by DMU. Railway photographer R.J. Sellick filmed two passing at Hartlebury.
- 1973 The Guarantee Company AGM approved the transfer of the LRO for the Northern section of the railway to SVR(H), in preparation for the granting of the LRO for the Southern section to Foley Park in 1974.[2]
- 1998 HE 686 visited the former Huslet Works in Leeds, where she was built 100 years earlier[3].
- 2013 The 'Blue Bell Explorer' rail tour hauled by 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' ran from Bridgnorth to the Bluebell Railway in Sussex,[4] becoming the first rail tour to use the newly re-signalled main line connection at Kidderminster[5].
- 2017 The Northern Belle was sold.[6] The new owners invoked the early termination clause in the contract with SVR to service the train.
