When the SVR reopened in 1970 it served as an original McKenzie intermediate stopping point and Holland Type 3 signal boxwatering place. It was built last used as a request stop in 1883 and 1982, but has not changed significantly since, apart from modifications to the interlocking of the lever frame. It previously controlled access been cosmetically restored and is occasionally opened to Highley's [[Collieries served by the Severn Valley Railway#Highley Colliery|colliery exchange sidings]] where [[The Engine House]] now standsvisitors on gala days.
