LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway Six-wheel Passenger Brake 2886

LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway Six-wheel Passenger Brake (BGZ) 2886 was an early StanierWilliam Stanier, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway 1932-1944 design and was built in 1932 at Wolverton. In the 1940s these coaches were equipped with stoves and became nicknamed ‘Stove Rs’. The coach was later numbered 32919.

2886 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway in 1972 and ran for several years as a temporary bar car. It is owned by The SVR Charitable Trust and was photographed in March 2015 undergoing an overhaul at Bridgnorth.
