  • 1860 An Act of parliament authorised a three-way amalgamation of the Oxford Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway with the Newport, Abergavenny & Hereford Railway and the Worcester & Hereford Railway to form the West Midlands Railway.[1]
  • 1972 BRBritish Rail or British Railways's application for a Light Railway Order for the southern section of the line from Alveley Sidings to Foley Park and Burlish via Bewdley was published[2].
  • 2006 Pathfinder Tours' The Orcadian started a three-day tour from Swindon to Inverness, Kyle of Lochalsh, Wick and Thurso with 50049 Defiance and 50031 Hood
