John Leftwich was born in May 1955 and became a trustee of the Severn Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd in 2012.[1] He became interim Chairman in April 2019, succeeding Hugh McQuade.
His background was in sales and marketing, culminating as corporate vice president of Microsoft, responsible for marketing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. John helped spearhead the Trust’s fundraising efforts since 2012 with commendable success, raising £5million.
John sadly passed away in hospital on 28 April 2020 following a short illness[2].
