Hanover Street

Hanover Street was a 1979 Columbia-EMI-Warner Anglo-American wartime romantic film starring Harrison Ford, Lesley-Anne Down and Christopher Plummer.

LMS Ivatt Class 2 46443 was filmed, disguised as a continental locomotive (repeating a role from The Seven-Per-Cent Solution).[1] Around 300 tons of ballast were purchased at the film company's expense, and spread on the track near Knowlesands and Foley Park tunnels to enable a motor cycle stuntman to ride along the track.[2]

It is uncertain whether this action was used in the final cinema release.
