GWR Goods Container A890

General Goods Container BR 49408B mounted on GWR 'Conflat' Container Wagon 39860

A890 was restored by the Friends of Kidderminster Town Station. These General Goods Containers were designed to be carried by 'Conflat' Wagons such as GWR 39860, on which BR Type B Container 49408B is shown in the photograph. GWR A890 is a "Type A" approximately half the size of a "Type B", meaning two could be carried on one wagon.
