Although the GWRGreat Western Railway registers held at the National Railway Museum record this crane as being built in 1892, the register also states that it was rebuilt from a broad gauge crane of unknown build date inherited from the Cornwall Railway when it was incorporated in to the GWRGreat Western Railway in 1889. This makes it one of the oldest GWRGreat Western Railway vehicles in preservation.[1][2]
The crane was acquired by The GWR 813 Preservation Fund in 1982 and is on display adjacent to Kidderminster Railway Museum.
