GWRGreat Western Railway Machinery Flat 42343

This machinery flat, or ‘well wagon’ was built at Swindon in 1944 and is of type LoriotGWR telegraphic code signifying a machine truck N, having a 20 ton capacity.

It was acquired from Round Oak Steelworks in March 1971. When photographed in March 2015 it was sited at Bridgnorth, carrying the saddle tanks of 2047 Warwickshire and GWR 813.
