Corridor Brake Third (BTK) 2233 was originally built for BRBritish Rail or British Railways by Metro Cammell in 1950 to a GWRGreat Western Railway HawksworthFrederick Hawksworth, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the Great Western Railway 1941-1948 design. It was later relegated to departmental use as a breakdown train riding van, being renumbered DW 150401 (Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey; SVRSevern Valley Railway stockbook states 150461).

2233 was one of four such coaches purchased by SVR(H) in 1990, arriving from Radyr. Originally it was intended primarily as a source of bogie spares, but the body has been retained for volunteer dormitory accommodation at Bewdley. The corridor connections have been blanked off.
