Corridor Brake Third (BTK) 2233 was one of 150 originally built for BRBritish Rail or British Railways by Metro Cammell in 1950 to a GWRGreat Western Railway HawksworthFrederick Hawksworth, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the Great Western Railway 1941-1948 design. As built it had four third class compartments seating 32, with one toilet. It was later relegated to departmental use as a breakdown train riding van, being renumbered DW 150401 (Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey; SVRSevern Valley Railway stockbook states 150461).

2233 was one of four such coaches purchased by SVR(H) in 1990, arriving from Radyr on 30 August, the others being 2148, 2214 and 2218. Originally it was intended primarily as a source of bogie spares, but the body has been retained for volunteer dormitory accommodation at Bewdley, using original compartments as much as possible. The corridor connections have been blanked off.

Sister vehicle GWR 2242 Corridor Brake Third moved to the SVRSevern Valley Railway in 2019.
