I've described this to the best of my ability. I'd appreciate if someone who actually knows about signals could check it.

Not all of the distants are fixed - the one for the Down Main is North's Down From Kidderminster Distant. If you look closely you can see that it's the only one with a normal two-lens spectacle plate.

I won't edit the page because as I've never been in South box myself I'm not 100% sure of the right answers, but I think you've misnamed a few signals. Bear in mind the names below are what I think they probably should be, but you need someone who's seen South Box's lever leads to tell you for certain. The two Up signals you describe both signal trains from the Back Road - the Kidderminster one is off for your move, as you know, and the other is the Up Back Road To Stourport Home. Confusingly, although they're "platform starters" colloquially, in the signalling regulations they are Homes, because Bewdley platforms 2 and 3 are within the block section. The Up Main Homes are mounted on the far right-hand side of the line with respect to the trains, so are out of view on the left in the picture. You've got the meaning of the Down signals correct as far as I'm aware. --WillSalt (talk) 18:01, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
