Non-free media information and use rationale – Screenshot from 'The Great Railway Cavalcade: Rocket 150 at Rainhill' (BBC 1980).
Description A screenshot from the 1985 BBC documentary on Rocket 150 showing LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway 6201 Princess Elizabeth taking part in the Cavalcade with two LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway carriages, 14241 from the NRMThe Railway Museum, formerly the National Railway Museum collection and LMS Brake Third Corridor 26921 from the Severn Valley Railway. The original production is Copyright of the BBC and may be seen on the BBC iPlayer.
Main article Rocket 150
Portion used The entire area of a single frame from the production.
Low resolution? The screenshot is of sufficient resolution for identification and commentary but substantially lower resolution than the original production. It is considered that copies made from it would be of inferior quality and unsuitable as artwork for commercial purposes.
Purpose of use The SVRSevern Valley Railway Wiki is a project aimed to collect information and record events relating to the SVRSevern Valley Railway, both past and present. The programme from which the screenshot is taken includes Severn Valley Railway rolling stock filmed as part of a TV documentary. The screenshot is used in the main article and in other articles shown as links in this page, in order make a significant contribution to the user's understanding of how filming took place which could not practically be conveyed by words alone, and also to enable articles to be enhanced through discussion and critical commentary. Use of a single screenshot in this manner does not compete with the original purposes of the original production; it may benefit the current title holders by renewed or increased interest in their real or intellectual copyright property.
Replaceable? As a single screenshot from a television programme, the image is not believed to be replaceable by free content. Images taken at the time and now in the public domain on Wikimedia Commons show the locomotive but not the SVRSevern Valley Railway carriage.
Other information Use of this screenshot in the SVRSevern Valley Railway Wiki is based on the Wikipedia non-free content policy and fair use under United States copyright law.
