  • 1993 Having learned that BRBritish Rail or British Railways were to auction the land which the SVR had leased in order to build Kidderminster Town station, the SVRSevern Valley Railway met with BRBritish Rail or British Railways to request that they withdraw it from auction so a direct purchase could be arranged instead.[1]
  • 1996 'Mighty MogulLocomotive with a 2-6-0 wheel configuration' 42968 hauled the 'Lyndum Fayre', the first of a number of main line rail tours involving the locomotive over the next year.[2]
