The SVR Main Web Site is primarily aimed at the travelling public. It includes all the latest news relevant to that sector, including details of forthcoming events, timetables, locomotive rosters, ticket sales and so on.

SVR Live is also an official SVRSevern Valley Railway web site, for members, shareholders and enthusiasts. SVRSevern Valley Railway Live contains regular monthly news announcements, although these are of a more specialist nature concerning matters like locomotive overhauls and infrastructure upgrades. It is also regularly updated with news from various sources, including social media and SVRSevern Valley Railway-related websites. Information which is publicly accessible for enthusiasts includes Traffic Notices, Working Timetables, lineside photography policy and application forms, and so on. Certain pages from time to time are secured for password-protected use by Working Members for internal communication on AGMs and the like.

‘Express Points’ is the Working Members’ monthly newsletter which moved to an online only delivery in January 2017. It is distributed by email to those who have registered, and it also publicly accessible through SVRSevern Valley Railway Live. The sister Web Round UpIn reference to the direction of travel means towards the major terminus (i.e. towards Kidderminster on the present day SVR) covered items in the public domain and on the internet relating to the Severn Valley Railway, with links shown to point readers towards the original source rather than reproducing every detail: its final edition was in December 2016 as 'Express Points' moved to an online only delivery.

‘SVRSevern Valley Railway Online’ is a secure password-protected intranet site is used by the SVRSevern Valley Railway for internal communication with staff and Working Members.

Forthcoming special events

Dates announced for 2017 events are as follows:

• Evening Scenic Specials Departing Kidderminster at 7:00pm on Saturdays 8 July to 16 September.
• Step Back to the 1940s: The annual 1940s event will take place on 24-25 June and 1-2 July (Revised fares).
• Big Band Show: Saturday evening of 24 June and 1 July at Kidderminster. Admission by wristband (daytime travel tickets not valid).
• Peep Behind the Scenes: 15 July (Normal fares + supplement)
• Classic Vehicle Day: 30 July (Normal fares)
• Steam on the Road: 12-13 August (Normal fares)
• On the Buses: 10 September (Normal fares)
• Autumn Steam Gala: 21-24 September with visiting locomotives and the return of all-night running (Revised fares). Visiting locomotives announced are:

• Christmas Gift Fayre: 21-22 October with gifts galore with a festive twist at the Engine House (Normal fares).
• Take a ride on the Ghost Train: 26-28 October Dare to take a thrilling trip into the night (Revised fares).

Other dates for 2017 are still being finalised, including Engine House Events, Season Finale Gala and Santa & Christmas Experiences.
