LNER BGP 4236 was resident on the SVR between 1975 and 1983, and has reportedly been scrapped since leaving the SVR.  LNER BGP 70759 has now been converted to an LNER Brake Third ([[:Category:Carriage Type BTK|BTK]]) and renumbered 24506.

Carriage type BGP (Brake Gangwayed Pigeon) is a sub-class of carriage type BG. It designates a carriage with Guard's compartment, and a storage area intended for transporting pigeons. The carriage has no passenger accommodation, although the gangway allows passengers to pass through it.

LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway BGP 4236 was resident on the SVRSevern Valley Railway between 1975 and 1983, and has reportedly been scrapped since leaving the SVRSevern Valley Railway. LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway BGP 70759 has now been converted to an LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway Brake Third (BTK) and renumbered 24506.
