Redefined the split of carriage work betwixt KR and BY
The Carriage Repair Works,aka North Star Works, is located split across two sites. The most conspicuous is the former GWR goods shed at [[Kidderminster]] in the former GWR goods shed, aka North Star Works. The SVR acquired this shed in 1985, the year after Kidderminster opened, when it was put up for sale by the former occupants Pickfords Removals.
The Repair Works Much work also takes place at [[Bewdley]] which generally carries out most of the heavier bodywork repair work. The lighter bodywork repairs to and bogie overhauls take place at Kidderminster. Carriage restoration from derelict condition by groups including the [[Great Western (SVR's carriage fleet, although carriage restoration ) Assoc.|GW(SVR)A]] and repair work is also done at [[BewdleySevern Valley Railway Charitable Trust Ltd|the Charitable Trust]]also takes place at Bewdley. The Both Repair Works is are closed to the public, except during the [[Members & Shareholders Weekend]] and [[Peep Behind the Scenes]].
