Carriage Repair Works

The Carriage Repair Works,aka North Star Works, is located at Kidderminster in the former GWRGreat Western Railway goods shed. The SVRSevern Valley Railway acquired this shed in 1985, the year after Kidderminster opened, when it was put up for sale by the former occupants Pickfords Removals.

The Repair Works carries out most of the repairs to the SVRSevern Valley Railway's carriage fleet, although carriage restoration and repair work is also done at Bewdley. The Repair Works is closed to the public, except during the Members & Shareholders Weekend and Peep Behind the Scenes.
