08015 was the first Class 08 locomotive on the SVR. It was acquired in April 1983 by the [[Class 08 Society]], having been selected as the best of those in store at Swindon. Movement to Bewdley was completed on 27 May 1983<ref Name = "SVRNews68"/>.  It entered traffic in spring 1984, being regularly used for P-Way work<ref>SVR News 71</ref> as well as resident Bewdley shunter.<ref>SVR News 83</ref> On 9 March 1985 it deputised for a failed [[4930|Hagley Hall]] on the 14:50 Kidderminster to Bridgnorth service, thought to be the first use of a preserved class 08 on a passenger service (those previously used by the NYMR being on hire from BR at the time).<ref>SVR News 76</ref>  It continued to give regular service, apart from requiring attention to the electrical system in 1996 due to problems with the voltage regulator causing repeated blown fuses,<ref>SVR News 119</ref> until being moved to Bridgnorth in 2000 for an engine rebuild, which was completed by summer 2001.<ref>SVR News 133, 137</ref> It was subsequently used as shunter at Kidderminster<ref>SVR News 143, 146</ref>, and in 2006 was used to deliver the pagoda shelter to [[Northwood Halt]].<ref>SVR News 153</ref> On 16 March 2008 it propelled the first locomotive ([[7325|Collett Mogul 7325]]) into the newly-built [[The Engine House|Engine House]].<ref>SVR News 161</ref>
