996730 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway on 7 November 1990 from Willsden. It was one of a number of wagons that were originally intended for the Southall Steam Centre but which came to the SVRSevern Valley Railway instead during that year, owned by J.J. Smith.[2] It was immediately put to use by the PWPermanent Way department for carrying rails and sleepers.[5] The photograph shows the wagon carring rails in a engineering train at Bewdley in 2015.
