BRBritish Rail or British Railways General Utility Van 94157

General Utility Van (GUVGeneral Utility Van, formerly used to transport mail and parcels) 94157 (originally numbered 86523) was built by BRBritish Rail or British Railways in 1958 at St Rollox, and is equipped with commonwealth bogies. GUVGeneral Utility Van, formerly used to transport mail and parcels’s are classified as Non Passenger Carrying Coaching Stock (NPCCS).

94157 was preserved in 2006. It was bought with 94200 (earlier 86207) to keep parts secure for SR 34027 Taw Valley.

The photograph shows 94157 in March 2015 at Bridgnorth MPD where it is used by the Department as a storage vehicle. As of 2016 it was receiving an overhaul and repaint into BRBritish Rail or British Railways maroon livery.[1]
