Special Flat Wagon 906811 (telegraph type Flat ED) was built at Shildon in 1957. These wagons were intended to transport large bulky loads, and were equipped with a flat timber floor and chaining down rings.

The SVRSevern Valley Railway’s 3 Flat ED wagons, 906811, 906825 and 906930, were bought from BRBritish Rail or British Railways by Universal Pictures and arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway in July 1975, being used as mock carriages in the film The Seven-Per-Cent Solution. 906811 is photographed at Bridgnorth in March 2015. The Flat ED wagons are owned by SVR(H).
