Post Office Sorting Van (POS) 80328 was built at York in 1968 to diagram number Diagram 728 of lot , Lot 30779.<ref name=RHRCS>Railway Heritage Register Carriage Survey</ref> It was one of two acquired allocated to the London Midland region from entry into service in spring 2000 from BR's Old Oak Common, London. Both were acquired for use on Santa duties at Arley, taking the place of a 'Snake' and 'Siphon' which required a major overhaulNovember 1969 until withdrawal in 1999.<ref>SVR News 132[[Bibliography#Other References|Longworth (2013)]] p.184.</ref>
It was one of two acquired in spring 2000 from BR's Old Oak Common, London. It was used as [[Santa's Grotto]] at [[Arley]] during Decemberuntil 2018, with alternative [[Christmas services]] arrangements brought in from 2019. It is owned by [[Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) PLC | SVR(H)]].
