This coach was originally built as a Brake Corridor Second (BSK), and later rebuilt as a Courier van for BRUTE traffic.

Service and preservation

Brake Corridor Second 35315 was built at Wolverton to Diagram 181 (AB201), Lot 30699. It entered service in the London Midland region in 1962, transferring to the Scottish region from October 1985.[1] It was one of several converted to a BRUTE courier van, fitted with a set of roller shutter doors and with with one compartment and toilet retained.[2] It re-entered service in October 1987 numbered 80222. It left BR service in May 1994.[3]

80222 is owned by the Class 50 Alliance. It carries the later 80222 number and TOPS code NNX, signifying a Non-passenger carrying Courier Van with dual Vacuum / Air braking.
