BRBritish Rail or British Railways Mk 1 First Open (FO) No 3103 was built 1961 at Wolverton to diagram number 73 lot number 30648.

It was preserved in 1984, and was formerly used as an SAS training vehicle (evidenced by broken table legs and a seat scorched by a stun grenade).[1] It was originally overhauled at Bewdley in 1997, with another overhaul and repaint in 2011 (the tyres were turned at Bristol at the same time).

3103 is painted into 1957 Maroon livery with black ends, and is seen paired with Buffet Restaurant carriage (RB) No 1682 for 'Severn Valley Venturer' catering use and special services. It is owned by the SVR (BR) Buffet Car Fund[2].
