  • 2001 A First Great Western HST operated an excursion from Barnstaple to Bridgnorth and return.[5]
  • 2012 The Parliamentary All-Party Rail Heritage Group enjoyed a day at the railway.[6]
  • 2015 HRH The Princess Royal visited the SVR.[7]
  • 2016 50031 Hood returned from RVEL, Derby where it had been painted in non-authentic Inter City livery.
