  • 1771 Richard Trevithick was born. A replica of his locomotive Catch Me Who Can is under construction at Bridgnorth.[1]
  • 1961 Future resident 4930 Hagley Hall received a new boiler during her last heavy general overhaul at Swindon.[2]
  • 1991 StanierWilliam Stanier, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway 1932-1944 mogul 42968, then numbered LMSLondon Midland & Scottish Railway 2968, entered service following a 17 year restoration from ex-BarryWoodham Brothers Scrapyard, Barry, South Wales. The source of many locomotives now in preservation. condition.[3]
  • 2001 A First Great Western HST operated an excursion from Barnstaple to Bridgnorth and return.[4]
  • 2015 HRH The Princess Royal visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway[5].
