== 08896 in main line service ==

08896 was built at Horwich Works and entered BR service as D4126 in April 1962 at Ebbw Junction (Newport), moving to Landore in May 1969. In June 1974 ~~D3802~~ D4126 became No ~~08635~~ 08896 under the TOPS numbering scheme, being withdrawn from service in February 2004.<ref>[http://www.brdatabase.info/locoqry.php?action=locodata&type=D&id=4126&loco=08896 BRDatabase website]</ref>
