English: Severn Valley Railway Locomotive Yard and Station at Bridgnorth. View northward, formerly towards Shrewsbury prior to 9/9/63 when the ex-GW Shrewsbury - Hartleport line closed. The site and line as far as Alveley had been acquired by the SVR in 1965-67 and a restored to Hampton Loade on 23/5/70. This 1968 view shows preserved LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46443 (built 2/50, withdrawn 3/67) in the 'Locomotive Yard' along with other vehicles acquired by the SVR. (See also SO7192 : Bridgnorth Station). |
