== SVR Unofficial Forum and National Preservation links (March 2018, updated February 2024) ==
There are many links to these sources but both have moved, viz:
*All requests to access the forum via https://forum.svra.org.uk should automatically be forwarded onto https://forum.svr-online.org.uk. However, please update any Bookmarks you may have and start using the new address. EDIT: February 2024, use https://web.archive.org/web/20230524021410/https://forum.svr-online.org.uk/
*<nowiki>http://railway.national-preservation.com/threads/svr-photo-guide.5590/</nowiki> is now https://www.national-preservation.com/threads/svr-photo-guide.5590/
Are there any tools that can be run which at least changes the root? Or any clever ideas?
::::::...having actually done it, the only references to railways.national-preservation.com are on this talk page and the one you linked. I can't find any references to the SVR photo guide forum thread that aren't on this page, and all other nat-pres links I can find (by directly searching through a text dump of the whole wiki) look like they should work. --[[User:Danny252|Danny252]] ([[User talk:Danny252|talk]]) 12:24, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
:::I noticed that SVRLive links should also be HTTPS, although again they were forwarding automatically. Having decided to do a manual search, hopefully all Nat-Pres, SVR-Online forum and SVRLive links in the Wiki are now HTTPS.
:February 2024: the history of the SVR forum can be accessed via the Wayback internet archive at https://web.archive.org/web/20230524021410/https://forum.svr-online.org.uk/ --[[User:Patrick Hearn|Patrick Hearn]] ([[User talk:Patrick Hearn|talk]]) 15:50, 27 February 2024 (UTC)

: For completeness, this issue has been "solved" through the use of the Svrwikibot, per Graham's suggestion --[[User:Danny252|Danny252]] ([[User talk:Danny252|talk]]) 14:07, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

As of today it's bringing up the page for February 28th, in error --[[User:Patrick Hearn|Patrick Hearn]] ([[User talk:Patrick Hearn|talk]]) 15:24, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
:It's been broken for a while now. Danny's Wikibot seems to stop working after about 6 months, and once it does then the 'on this day' link only refreshes (as far as logged out users are concerned) when there is a change saved on the home page (ie usually every Monday when I update the article of the week link!) I don't know to restart the Wikibot - it needs someone with access to the back end and a bit of knowledge. Maybe Graham or Will could have a look at some point? --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 15:37, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

:Done. --[[User:Graham Phillips 110|Graham Phillips 110]] ([[User talk:Graham Phillips 110|talk]]) 10:00, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
::Thanks. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 17:53, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

===Service Unavailable message===
While I'm in the Bug reports page, I'm seeing a message from time to time as follows:

Service Unavailable<br>
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.<br>
Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It is usually when requesting a special page like 'recent changes' but occasionally when accessing a normal page. Been happening for a couple of months now. Another one for Graham or Will to have a look at if possible? --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 15:41, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

::Indeed! It seems I might have to occasionally re-confirm the login details, or else that it somehow forgot how to login. --[[User:Danny252|Danny252]] ([[User talk:Danny252|talk]]) 09:29, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

:Message for Graham in Dan's absence. Just noticed the Bot stopped working again on 9 October 2018 so if you are not logged in, the On this day link goes to the last day the page was updated rather than the current day. It may be a coincidence but both times it seems to have stopped after 6 months. Could you have a look please? TIA. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 10:42, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
===Railway Heritage Register links update===
I'll be busy for much of the next few weeks with moving, a honeymoon, and whatever else I've forgotten - if someone else wants to have a go at doing featured articles for a few weeks, feel free! --[[User:Danny252|Danny252]] ([[User talk:Danny252|talk]]) 10:43, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
:Best of luck with everything! An open invitation at any time for anyone to pick an article they would like to feature, either by adding it themselves or by letting me know and I'll add it. There is a [[:Category:Featured articles|Category page]] which lists the articles already featured. If nobody else does choose an article, I'll try to keep updating them on a weekly basis. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 15:13, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

== Schematic Map ==

I've created a copy of Graham's original schematic map changing "Eardington Halt (Disused)" to "Eardington" (the name as consistently used in SVR gala publications etc). I don't have the correct font to add any new text, ie "(Limited use)", but I think on balance it's better as changed. The station icon is still in 'disused' colour which suggests something different and the linked page gives the operational status. I might have a go at creating a completely new file at some point with the additional text, unless Graham happens to read this and gets there first. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 09:58, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
:On the [[List of stations]] page I've minor edited the schematic to remove '(disused)' and change the icon colour for the station (look on the 'changes' to see what changes I made). How this might help I'm not sure, as that page doesn't use a .png file?--[[User:Patrick Hearn|Patrick Hearn]] ([[User talk:Patrick Hearn|talk]]) 22:22, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
::Helps greatly thanks - I hadn't realised how Graham created the original .png file until now. I've added '(Limited use)' which is in the correct font and created a new .png file from a screen grab, tweaking the size to match the original. I could use other wording such as 'Galas only' rather than 'Limited use' if preferred. --[[User:Robin|Robin]] ([[User talk:Robin|talk]]) 09:11, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
