::I too had incoming railtours in mind. NB where we've said Kidderminster as the trigger for including them, I wonder whether BY would be better? I've had 2 * class 25s to [EDIT]Bewdley South before D1013 took over.--Patrick Hearn (talk) 16:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
:::I've added some of the Class 43 HST power cars; the 5 that were in storage in 2021, four that I photographed while they were here in January / March this year, and the two in the HST set stabled at Arley ready for the gala. I think there was a comment about there being (up to 8?) others here late last year but I don't have any details of those. --Robin (talk) 20:48, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

::Incoming tour but no recotd of locos unfortunately. "The Railway played host to two incoming main line rail tours through to Bridgnorth on the same day. The Bridgnorth station announcer took the opportunity to make an announcement surely never heard before or since, “The next service will call at Bewdley, Basingstoke, Winchester, Eastleigh and Southampton. Change at Bewdley for Leeds, Keighley, Haworth and Oxenhope.” The two 10-coach tours passed at Arley, the only loop large enough to handle the crossing." Also, November 2013 the 'Blue Bell Explorer' rail tour ran from Bridgnorth to the Bluebell Railway in Sussex, becoming the first rail tour to use the newly re-signalled main line connection at Kidderminster. :::I've updated both the steam and diesel pages for the 2013 railtour (both locos were already listed so just added the railtour date). 1980 is more difficult. The first arrival at BH was at 13:15 which was the SVR's 6960 with a 10 coach BR set (the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway "The Worth-Severn"). 6960 ran round and departed for BY at 13:35. Unfortunately Six Bells Junction doesn't mention any of the tour locos, but I assume 6960 worked the tour from and to Bewdley while the main line loco was serviced there (then our southern terminus if you don't count Foley Park). The second arrival at BH was at 15:00 behind 7812; 45110 left BH at 16:00 for BY. I assume the same servicing arrangements applied. SBJ is even more uncertain on the main line details for this one, not even confirming it actually took place! No luck with Google either. --Robin (talk) 11:50, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
