Summary
The seat frames and ends fitted to 24105 in 1996 have proved unsatisfactory, being non-standard, difficult to keep clean and expensive to reupholster. To address these issues, as part of the 2017 overhaul they are to be replaced with items of similar appearance but conventional construction, whilst re-using the existing backs and bases.
